I recently discovered the hard way (read: by getting a ticket) that the inspection on my car had expired about 10 days ago. Being the law-abiding citizen that I am and certainly not wanting to risk additional financial liability, I made a point of quickly remedying the situation. I don't really have "a guy" in the area who I go to for car stuff. I tend to go to a place in Sheepshead Bay for most of my auto work, but they're not open on Saturdays, so I took to Yelp and found New Millennium. I called and Andreas, the owner, was polite and told me that if I came right away, he could probably have the car back in less than an hour. Short story even shorter, Andreas is a great guy, honest, and runs a nice shop. He did my inspection in about 45 mins and instilled enough faith in me that I will gladly bring my car back to him when I need actual repairs done. Repair shops are a dime a dozen in the Gowanus area, so to have honed in on one that is legit and reliable is a real relief. I recommend New Millennium without reservation, particularly if it's for routine stuff like an inspection.
